Roselle-Roselle Park Rotarian Jim Vigliotti's Presentation on "Palliative Care"

Most meetings of the Rotary Club of Roselle - Roselle Park include a presentation on a variety of topics.  Each Rotarian is responsible for one or more programs per year.  Sometimes the Rotarian presents and other times the Rotarian asks another professional from outside the club to speak.

At today's meeting, member Jim Vigliotti presented on the topic of palliative care.

"Palliative care (pronounced pal-lee-uh-tiv) is specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses. It focuses on providing patients with relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness.  The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family."
