As the 2009 – 2010 president of the Rotary Club of Roselle – Roselle Park, it is my pleasure to extend greetings from our members, and welcome you to our website. I consider it a privilege to represent this outstanding organization and continue the tradition of excellence that our club embodies. |

John Kenny, incoming president of Rotary International, noted that,
“Everything we are, and everything we aspire to become, lies in the hands of Rotarians in their clubs. If our clubs are congenial and our meetings well run, if our service is carefully planned and competently carried out, if our members are qualified, honest, and respected in their vocations and communities, then all of Rotary will thrive.” I couldn’t agree more with our president! Just as a fence is only as strong as its weakest link so, too, is our club only as strong as each individual member. Here in the Roselle – Roselle Park club, we have members from all corners of the professional community – be they lawyers, accountants, funeral directors, bakers or landscapers. Like your families, our membership is diverse – male and female, black, white, young and…well…let’s say mature in body but young at heart; you get the picture. Despite our differences in shape, size, vocation and beliefs we, as club members, all have one thing in common, and that is our dedication to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.” As Rotarians, we must look beyond our own home and our own community. The Rotary Club of Roselle-Roselle Park has accomplished much – both locally and internationally – since it was founded in 1923. Highlights of our club’s recent projects, activities, and endeavors (as well as facts and figures about our club) can be found in our website under the “About Us” button, in the section titled, “The History of our Club.” I invite you to “check out” the accomplishments of our small-in number yet spirited club members. In closing, I ask you to consider becoming a member of our club. Although we’ve accomplished a lot over the years, much more work remains to be done. If you derive satisfaction from helping others while in the company of like-minded professionals, if you are committed to making your community, your country and your world a better place to live, and if you can do all that while having fun and enjoying fellowship, then maybe – just maybe – your next stop should be a Rotary meeting, or at LEAST the Membership button on our website!
